Who can deny any style from Rachel Zoe? Sign up for The Zoe Report and you can get just that. In yesterday’s issue of The Zoe Report, the uber fashionsta featured the exquisite Gold Lace Cuff from Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci (below left), a delicate lacy beauty for just $1,005 (I guess they had to throw on an extra five bucks for good measure). I would naturally recommend the much more affordable — and in my opinion, equally adorable — gold Chantilly Lace Cuff from Stella & Dot for just $98 (right), buuut she already beat me to it, natch.
And check out the matching gold Chantilly Lace Chandelier Earrings from Stella & Dot for just $49. They are a top 10 best-seller for a reason.
Here’s what Miss Zoe said about this gold lace trend:
“In fashion, a foolproof equation to achieve greatness is to play opposites against one another. This can be as simple as mixing black and white separates or as specific as teaming a feminine floral-print dress with a masculine leather jack. Borrowing from the contrasting concept, Givenchy’s Gold Lace Cuff merges a tough shape with a delicate lace pattern for a totally stellar result.” >> Read More
Animal motifs are a huge trend for fall 2012, and now you can wear this look for less. Check out this style steal: Gucci’s tiger head bracelet retails for over $1,300, but get a similar look with Stella & Dot’s Kalahari Animal Bracelet or just $79. The hottest way to wear your bracelets this season is stack them. Try pairing it with other equally bold and striking bracelets, such as the Chimera Bangle and the Duchess Bangle.
Lately, accessories with an organic feel have become very popular. And I think these cuff bracelets have taken the word “organic” to a new level. Check out the Olga Prieto Leaf Cuff for $150, made of brass (left), and compare it to the Stella & Dot Secret Garden Cuff (right) molded in pure bronze for just $98. Both leaf bracelets are lovely, but save some extra spending cash by getting the Stella & Dot version. In fact, Stella & Dot’s jewelry designer Blythe Harris was inspired to create this piece after her daughter Olive gave her a fresh-picked leaf in the Central Park. How’s that for “organic?”
Check out this look alike for less! The Coach Thin Hinged Shell Bangle is a lovely white enamel bangle perfect for summer and retails for $98. Compare it to the equally stunning white enamel Lindsay Bangle from Stella & Dot for just $49 and you’ve got yourself a steal! Save 50% by getting the Stella & Dot version instead! Shop online anytime at www.stelladot.com/emarkland.
Spikes are all the rage in jewelry right now. And I don’t mean spikes as in a gothic studded dog collar or anything like that. I mean spikes as in delicate, intricate, beautiful and feminine gold peaks of glory. Check out the gold Andre Spike Earrings from Flutter NYC for $185. They are gorgeous and you could wear them with anything. But if they are out of your price range, check out the Renegade Cluster Hoop Earrings — a fabulous look-alike pair — from Stella & Dot for just $29! [Update: they are on sale now for only $23! Available while supplies last.]
Rose gold is a huge trend this season and it will most likely be sticking around for a while. Get a few rose gold jewelry pieces now so you can stay on-trend all year long. The Diamond Tiara Bangle from Ippolita is breathtaking but at $1,095 it may not fit into the average girl’s budget. Try the rose gold Rhea Bangles from Stella & Dot — you get a set of three bracelets (versus just the one bangle) for just $79.
More fabulous rose gold jewelry pieces from Stella & Dot include the Goddess Teardrop Earrings, Copper Cupchain Bracelet and the Sidewinder Ring, which can all be found at www.stelladot.com/emarkland.
We all love and adore the jewelry brand Ippolita, but we may not love and adore its prices. Stella & Dot has several pieces that look similar for much less moolah. These Teardrop Earrings in Lapis from Ippolita are absolutely breathtaking, but they are also nearly $1,000 (the smaller ones are $550, still a bit pricey). Get the exact same look for a lot less with the Serenity Stone Drop Earrings in Lapis from Stella & Dot, just $34. You can get 29 pairs of earrings from Stella & Dot for the same price as the Ippolita pair. Wow!
Tassels, chains and wood beads have been trending for a while now, but take a look at these look-a-likes! The Woods for Chris Benz necklaces (shown left) retail for $600 to over $1,000 each, as featured in the November 2011 issue of Marie Claire magazine in the MC’s Editor’s Favorites article. Get the look for less with the Revival Tassel Necklace from Stella & Dot for just $79. Featuring wood enamel beads, hematite chain tassel, and silver, hematite and gold CZ soiree balls, it’s the perfect mix of sparkly and earthy all in one.
This lacy cuff was Stella & Dot’s best-selling sku number during the last half of 2011 for a reason – it’s simply irresistible. Inspired by an old lace handkerchief, the golden beauty was painstakingly designed with love by Stella & Dot Chief Creative Officer Blythe Harris. I recently ran into this other golden beauty in the December 2011 issue of Allure magazine: the Aurelie Biedermann 18-karat gold dipped lace cuff for, oh, just $1,890 on Net-a-Porter.com. Stella & Dot’s Chantilly Lace Cuff is half the length, but about ten times cheaper, at just $98. The matching Chantilly Lace Earrings – which are equally exquisite and don’t look matchy-matchy when worn together – are also exceptionally affordable at just $49.
Curbchain jewelry was a foreign concept to me until Stella & Dot introduced their La Coco Curbchain Necklace in their Fall 2011 jewelry collection. Well, the shiny, thick chain jewelry has become a huge trend this season, reaching everything from handbags to ballet flats to statement necklaces — and reaching retailers high and low, from Neiman Marcus to Kohl’s to David Yurman.
Fashion jewelry featuring a curbchain style generally runs a few hundred dollars. If you’re looking to splurge on a substantial 10kt – 24kt curbchain knockout, then get ready to pay the substantial price tag: about a grand and up.
Get the same look, but for a lot less, with the Stella & Dot La Coco Curbchain Necklace & Bracelet for way less than $100. This shiny piece works double duty too — Wear as one long necklace or detach the clasps to make it into a shorter necklace and a matching curbchain bracelet. Brilliant!
Left to Right: Lanvin Rhinestone Link Bracelet from Neimen Marcus, $770; Gold Curbchain Bracelet from Kohls, $100; Stainless Steel Curbchain Necklace from Kohls, $245; Sterling Silver David Yurman Curbchain Necklace from Neiman Marcus, $1650.
Stella & Dot La Coco Curbchain Necklace & Bracelet, Gold $89, Silver $79 at www.StellaDot.com/Emarkland
Get that tough rocker vibe without a lot of dough by piling on the leather – bracelets that is. Pull on some motorcycle boots and you’re good to go. But some leather goods can be pricier than others. The funky leather bracelets from retailers Linea Pelle and Tory Burch can be upwards of $90. Try the less expensive but equally hot leather bracelets from Stella & Dot, for $39 and $59 each. And a bonus: You can wear the leather wraps inside out to get even more bang for your buck!
Above: Tory Burch Studded Leather Cuff Bracelets, $95 each
Above: Stella & Dot Leather Wrap Bracelets, $39 – $59
What’s trendy now? Rose gold is all the rage and it looks like it’s here to stay. The feminine, pretty, delicate material is generally used on fine jewelry, but some retailers and jewelry designers – including Stella & Dot – are now offering it at a lower price point. Check out the lovely Judith Jack Orbital Triple Teardrop Hoop Earrings at Nordstrom for $200, below left, or the Max & Chloe Etoile Three Crystal Earrings in Rose Gold, below center, which retail for $163. Well, you could buy approximately 5.8 pairs of the Goddess Teardrop Hoop Earrings from Stella & Dot, below right, at just $34, it’s the best style steal for quality rose gold jewelry. Pair it with the gorgeous rose gold Anabelle Necklace and you’ll be ready to go anywhere in style.
As seen in the recent October 2011 issue of Lucky magazine, the gorgeous diamond and 10kt gold Audrey Necklace from Kara Ackerman Designs is stunning (below left), but it’s a hefty $800. Get this look for less by opting for the equally delicate and beautiful CZ and 14kt gold vermeil Starry Night Necklace from Stella & Dot, for just $98 (below right). Both are lovely options – and they make great gifts, especially for the holidays – but why buy the more expensive necklace when you can get the look-alike for $700 cheaper? It’s a no brainer.
Remember that sound you made when you “clicked” and “clacked” along the tile floor in those powdery pink, plastic princess heels? Well, the jingle-jangle of the Rio Coin Bracelet from Stella & Dot is the adult equivalent of those plastic shoes. And our jewelry designer, Blythe Harris, can attest to it, as it took her seven revisions to perfect the sound of the coins on this bracelet.
For just $89, put a smile on your face and put some sound on your wrist with the Rio Gold Coin Bracelet from Stella & Dot (below left). It’s a total steal when compared to the look-alike Oscar de la Renta Russian Charm Bracelet, $255, from Neimen Marcus (below right). So, every time you wear this Stella & Dot bracelet – and every time the coins dance together on your wrist – remember those plastic shoes… and smile.
With the launch of the new spring 2011 collection from Stella & Dot comes even more fabulously delicate and detailed pieces from jewelry designer Maya Brenner, who is loved by A-list celebs such as Penelope Cruz, Demi Moore, Lindsey Lohan and Jessica Biehl. Maya Brenner is known for her attention to detail, he use of semi-precious stones, her whimsical charms and her delicate chains.
And if you didn’t love Stella & Dot enough, here’s more reason to covet this fabulous jewelry — Several pieces are offered exclusively through Stella & Dot at a fraction of the cost. Take a look below.
The new leather wrap bracelets from Stella & Dot have quickly become a huge hit. And everyone is getting in on the trend. Tory Burch and Coach both offer several colorful leather wrap bracelets. But check out this Stella & Dot look-alike from Chan Luu jewelry. The Gold Vermeil & Leather Wrap Bracelet from Chan Luu is $190, shown below left. It comes with a button closure and measures 23″ long. The Nugget Wrap Bracelet from Stella & Dot i sjust $39 and features brushed gold vermeil and a button closure, shown below right. The bracelet looks terrific layered with bangle bracelets or the Clover Double Wrap Leather Bracelet from Stella & Dot.
The only thing that’s different between these two sterling silver necklaces is the price. Both pendants feature the word “love” in sterling silver, on a 16″ sterling silver chain. The Paloma Picasso Love Pendant from Tiffanys, below right, retails for a cool $150. Get the same exact look for less with the Love Script Necklace from Stella & Dot for just $44, below right. In fact, you could get the sterling silver signature Hoopla Dot Hoop Earrings and the set of seven sterling silver Lucky 7 Rings and still have money left over. Can’t beat that.
The bee charm was such a popular seller from Stella & Dot’s fall 2009 collection that jewelry designer Blythe Harris created a similar necklace for the fall 2010 jewelry line. Check out the look alike piece from fine jewelry company Love Rocks NY. Their version of the bee necklace features 14kt gold and a couple hand-set diamonds for $400. Get the look for less with Stella & Dot’s Pave Bee Necklace for $44, featuring a 14kt gold vermeil ball station chain with a hand-set CZ bee charm. Get the matching Ladybug Stud Earrings for just $24 to complete the look.
These pretty yet understated earrings caught my eye in the September 2010 issue of InStyle magazine in the “Instant Style” section. The pearl and hematite Baroque Pearl Earrings from Carla Wax retail for $95 — not too shabby for couture jewelry. But compare that to Stella & Dot, a company equally fabulous (perhaps even more fabulous, but I’m biased) and offers a similar pair of sterling silver and pearl earrings for just $29. YES, you read that correctly — $29! Stella & Dot is such a style steal. Check out the Freshwater Pearl Drop Earrings from Stella & Dot, below right.
This style steal is someting no one should pass up. Karibou’s Sterling Pebble Cuff is $200 and looks extremely similar to Stella & Dot’s Adele Cuff in Silver for $64. The Adele Cuff has been a fan favorite for over a year. Being featured in InStyle and Redbook and seen on actress Viola Davis on the red carpet and on Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba, this cuff is a statement piece and is just downright fun to wear. What’s more is that this chic piece of jewelry is on sale for $48 …. And until Friday, July 9th, it’s on sale even MORE for $38! We can’t resist this summer style steal from Stella & Dot!
Man, do I love finding these looks for less! Take a peak at this Splurge vs. Steal that I just came across: Naomi Herndon designs some fabulous sterling silver jewelry, such as the Pailette Earrings (below left) for $220 featuring snap-down french wires. Check out the very similar Fringe Hoop Earrings from Stella & Dot for just $39. The look a lot like the othe pair, but for a LOT less moolah. Also check out the matching sterling silver Signature Dot Disc Necklace for $89.
Of all the looks for less and the splurge vs. steals, this one just might take the cake. The Judy Mayfield 18kt Paraiba Starfish Earrings retail for $980 and features 18kt white gold and paraiba tourmaline. The jewelry designer also offers a matching Starfish Pin which retails for nearly the same price. The Starfish Earrings from Stella & Dot are just $34 and feature hand-set czech stones and turquoise enamel. The Starfish Brooch comes with the Palm Necklace but can also be purchased separately for just $44.
This style steal is a true look-alike! I love this look for summer with a pretty white sundress and brown wedge sandals. The expensive designer piece from Chan Luu Mixed Turquoise Wrap Bracelet is $295, below left! Whew! The Stella & Dot style steal is the Costa Azul Wrap Bracelet for just $59 and features ocean-toned gradients of turquoise, aventurine, and lemon jasper, hand-wrapped onto leather, below right. You can change the look by wearing it as a triple-wrapped bracelet or single-strand necklace. Don’t we love versatile pieces? And for such a great price, no less.
Nearly every designer from the 20th and 21st centuries have been inspired by the fabulous Mademoiselle Coco Chanel, and the designer of Stella & Dot jewelry, Blythe Harris, is no exception. See Blythe’s take on the popular floral motif, which Chanel made popular in the 40s due to her love of camellia flowers. The Chanel white flower ring features 18kt whit gold and white agate, and the black flower ring has 18kt yellow gold and onyx. The rings are priced upon request, but retail for $450 and more.
Get a similar look with the Stella & Dot bloom flower rings, which come in five different colors, including ivory and black. Featuring high-quality glass enamel on silvertone bands, the ring is a gorgeous statement for your finger — for just $44 each.
The rocker chic look is going strong, with chains, mesh, bold links and mixed metals. This Wasabi Multi Chain Knotted Necklace, $319, from PinkMascara.com, is a nice take on the trend. With an array of black and silver chain knotted together, it’s a great jewelry piece. However, Stella & Dot’s version is just $118 and can be worn 8 different ways. The bestselling Adrienne Mixed Chain Necklace, $118 can be worn as a bracelet, belt and headband, and can be tied and looped several ways as a necklace. The matching Adrienne Chain Earrings or Soiree Earrings are both $39. Check out the video below on how to wear the Adrienne Mixed Chain Necklace from Stella & Dot.
The pearl look has been a huge trend since spring 2009 and it will continue to be popular through 2011. Many retailers are offering a great pearl bracelet, but none can compare to the Stella & Dot price. Check out the Luxe Cocktail Bracelet, $98, from J. Crew. Save some bucks by getting the Stella & Dot Pearl Bauble Bracelet for $89 — the same bracelet E! news correspondent Giuliana Rancic wore on the Emmy’s red carpet! See the bracelet HERE.
Do have large wrists? Not to worry! Stella & Dot offers bracelet extenders that fit most of their pieces, including the Grace Pearl Bauble Bracelet, shown above. Check out the extenders HERE.
I just came across this sterling silver Petal Wrap Necklace from Gorjana on ShopBop.com for $118 (below right) and had to compare it the sterling silver Signature Dot Disc Necklace from Stella & Dot for just $89 (below left). Both are gorgeous and great quality for the same length, but the one from Stella & Dot is $29 less. With your savings, snatch up these sterling silver Teardrop Earrings or these Silver Pearl Earrings to top off your look, each just $29.
