Get the Look: Selena Gomez’s Cover Look from InStyle Magazine June 2013 Issue

Still fresh after break-up from the Biebs, but who would know? Selena Gomez looked beautiful on the cover of InStyle magazine’s June 2013 issue. She wore a blue and white striped dress and gold and a white enamel rose necklace, both from Oscar de la Renta, and she topped it off with a nice bright pink pout.

Charlize Theron was a guest on ABC’s The View this morning [Friday, June 1, 2012] promoting her two summer blockbuster movies, Snow White and the Huntsmen and Prometheus, and she was look especially glowy and gorgeous. She wore a beautiful black sweater, a cream pencil skirt, fuschia lips and fabulous green statement earrings. Get the Look: Reese Witherspoon

If there is one woman celeb that I have a major girl-crush for, it’s Reese Witherspoon. She somehow seems to combine that perfect combination of sweet and sassy, and classy and sexy, all at once. She’s funny and whip-smart and has uber cool girlfriends (hi, Chelsea!), and did I mentioned that she’s a Southern girl. I just can’t resist.

Reese looked every part the cool girl at ELLE’s 18th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute held at the Four Seasons Hotel on October 17, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Her hint of black lace underneath her sleek black tuxedo jacket is very chic, but what makes her outfit pop are her stunning green jade earrings from Irene Neuwirth, valued at over $9,000.

Get The Look: Emma Stone

I’ve always loved Emma, but now I am absolutely loving her style! She has been choosing from very fun, flirty and bold style choices lately. For the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Galas, she chose a playful, pleated beige Jonathan Saunders frock (which happens to be from his Spring 2012 wedding dress collection, who knew?) and nude Christian Dior sandals. She paired it off with bright bold fuschia lips and large, green Irene Neuwirth statement earrings.

I absolutely love this Dolce & Gabanna cheetah print maxi dress that actress Helen Mirren wore to the European premiere of the movie Arthur. What a hot look! The 65-year-old actress looks absolutely stunning and proves that you can wear wild animal prints no matter your age.

Get The Look: Desperate Housewives, Episode 2

This season of ABC’s hit tv show Desperate Housewives is getting good! And the fashion is still top notch. (But still not up to par with the now-cancelled show Lipstick Jungle. Sigh.) I noticed quite a few jewelry items that looked a lot like Stella & Dot pieces, and the housewives rocked them throughout the entire episode (episode 2, season 7; aired Sunday, October, 3, 2010). Get The Look: Joan Halloway on Mad Men

Not only is Mad Men back for its fourth season, the show’s fashion influence is stronger than ever! Lady-like silhouettes and muted colors have been strong trends for the past two seasons, and this season is no different. Designers are debuting nipped-waist dresses, notch collars, vintage jackets, round toe heels and pearls galore. Stella & Dot stays on-trend with the new Vintage Luxe collection, which was partly inspired by Joan Halloway’s character on Mad Men, see the inspirations for the new jewelry collection below.

Joan looks especially glam and saucy in the Season 4 promo images, seen below, donning a red satin dress, red lips and lots of gold jewelry. Get The Look: Ali on The Bachelorette

We all know Frank gave Ali the cold shoulder and left her for his ex-girlfriend. Hey, at least the girl can get over the heartache on a beautiful island in Tahiti. She shouldn’t complain too much. Besides, Chris and Roberto are both dreamy, hot, “real” men. I mean, geeze, if Ali doesn’t want ‘em, send them over my way!

But she does like the two remaining guys. We saw the sparks flying between Ali and Roberto on their helicopter date in episode 9, which aired on Monday, July 19, 2010. And Roberto wasn’t the only eye candy in the show. A few of you have emailed me about Ali’s ring and asked if it was Stella & Dot. Alex was looking like quite the chic housewife in a pink button-up shirt, jeans and statement necklace. She proves what I’ve been saying all along — Jewelry has the ability to transform your look from ho-hum to fabulous. Get The Look: LuAnn de Lesseps from Real Housewives of NYC

I’m not the biggest fan of the Real Housewives of New York City on Bravo TV. I like the Jersey girls and my local OC ladies a lot more. And after watching the Season 3 premiere episode, I’m getting really tired of LuAnn making everything into such a big deal, when it should be water under the bridge. I mean, during her lunch date with Bethenny, she brought up issues from the year before. She should be over it already! And honestly, if my friend invites me out for drinks, I certainly don’t expect her to pay for them. But maybe that’s just how we roll out here in California.

Nonetheless, I am loving LuAnn’s jewelry and accessories choices. The other Housewives of NYC usually wear plain gold hoops or gold bangles. Nothing wrong with it, but I love that LuAnn makes a statement with her jewelry choices.

Get The Look: First Lady Michelle Obama Wearing Pearl Bracelets

I’ve found countless pics of First Lady Michelle Obama wearing stacks of pearl bracelets – or one large pearl bracelet — on her left wrist. It’s a different approach from her usual jewelry choices, as she tends to wear brooches or colorful statement necklaces to pump up her style. Get The Look: Reese Witherspoon in InStyle Magazine

Oh, Reese, how do we love thee? Let us count the ways: Beauty, brains, talent, compassion and practicality — near perfection, really. Her photos in the November 2009 issue of InStyle put me in the mood for the holidays. Her gilded dress took center stage for her cover look and the strapless yellow number transformed from cheery, summertime staple to holiday-party-ready with the grace of a single blazer. She proves that you can look amazing with fierce accessories and without breaking the bank.

These looks, straight from the pages of InStyle, are very well-priced — the most expensive item is the LBD for about $650! You gotta love it!

For the cover look (my favorite!), Reese wore a DKNY gold strapless dress, Sid Vintage necklaces and a black Brooks Brothers blazer. Her yellow strapless dress is from French Connection, black stilettos from Aldo, and a grey wool blazer from Brooks Brothers with a Fallon necklace. The look on the far right features a Alexander Wang dress, black leather cutout heels from Aldo, cuffs from Dannijo and necklaces from Roxanne Assoulin For Lee Angel.

The dresses are perfection (and, really, why mess with perfection?) and they are well priced, so I wouldn’t dare suggest any look-alike items. Barbara Walters looked smashing in her bright turquoise necklace on today’s episode of The View (Tuesday, 7/21/09). If you haven’t noticed already, turquoise can be truly transformative. Barbara’s simple black blazer and white skirt is now bright, perky and utterly terrific with a chunky beaded statement necklace. Get the Look: Jennifer Aniston

Get The Look: Jillian Harris on Regis and Kelly

At first glance, I could have sworn Jillian Harris was wearing the Kelly Cuff from Stella & Dot, but no (although she does wear it often!)… And then I stood back and looked at her entire outfit. It’s so simple, yet… so fabulous! How easy is it throw on a bright colored skirt, a neutral tank and some accesories, and then run out the door? You’d be set to go just about anywhere. Bring along a cardigan or a fitted jean jacket (ya know, for those chilly offices or for the occasional spring breeze) and you’re set to go.

On the show, Jillian wore the Walk-A-Ways Dress from Anthropologie. It’s super cute and versatile, and it’s just $128! It’s also available in Green.

To get a similar look, try a fun, flirty skirt. This way you can change the shirt that you wear with it. I found some pretty enchanting skirts at Oli, a fashion site based in the United Kingdom, such as the Tommy Hifiger printed full skirt, £70.00 or the back zip, pink skirt, £25.00. Also, Oli had some fabulous black skirts that would be great staple pieces for any woman’s wardrobe.

Blue is a great color for everyone; check out the Navy Full Pleated Skirt, $60, from Express. Jillian’s orange look may seem a little intimidating, but it is actually an easy color to pull off — it’s about finding a hue that’s just right (i.e. not too peach, not too red, and not too cheap looking).

You might think a full, colorful skirt is more dressy, but you could easily slide into your sandals and wear this to a fair, around the mall or along the boardwalk on a hot summer day. On the same not, you can slip into your stillettos and it’s a whole new look. The shoes and accessories are what determine the overall style.
