About Erin

Meet Erin Markland: Stella & Dot’s youngest Director and fashion enthusiast. This self-proclaimed “magazine junkie” loves anything to do with food, fashion, travel and people. And luckily for her, Stella & Dot satisfies at least three of those passions. The fashion and people part may be obvious, but Erin appeased her passion for tourism as she took Stella & Dot on the road with her to over 20 cities in a 16-month span, and held over 15 out-of state trunk shows.

Erin’s love for fashion began in the 3rd grade, when her Aunt gifted her with her very first issue of Teen magazine. Now twenty-something, she loves discovering new brands, experimenting with style, and updating her wardrobe, all while on a “real world” budget. She loves a great deal and is the ultimate bargain shopper (thanks to her Mother), but she also strongly believes in spending more money on something you absolutely love or something that will last forever. Her case in point: A hot pink United Colors of Benetton cardigan — her first “designer” splurge at 16 years old — that she still wears today.

Erin’s resume includes umpire, realtor’s assistant and PR intern. But her passions, and experience, lie in two key areas: children and direct sales. A nanny for over 12 years and an “Avon Lady” for 5 years, she worked with loving families and sold Skin So Soft into her early twenties. And as fate would have it, Stella & Dot serendipitously found her at a book signing event at a community center in Costa Mesa, CA, in May 2008.

Working her Stella & Dot business full-time for the last two years, Erin loves the couture jewelry company and the flexibility and opportunity it’s given her at a relatively young age. She loves sharing style tips and trends with women, showing them how to be simply stylish without spending a lot of cash.
